Changes to the CRM Module

This article is just let you know about a small change to your Campus account.
From Friday 16th March we'll be removing the 'Full Name' field in your CRM module and replacing it with two new fields, 'First Name' and 'Last Name'. We're doing this for a few reasons:
1) To allow you to have greater control over your data.
2) To improve merging in the Email module.
3) To improve support for more unusual names e.g. names with two words for a last name (Campus didn't do a great job of recognising them).
The places in your account that will be affected are:
1) The add and edit contact pages in your CRM module.
2) The forms module.
You don't need to do anything - if you currently use the 'Full Name' field in any of your forms we'll replace that with 'First Name' and 'Last Name' fields for you.
The only thing you really need to be specifically aware of is that as part of this process we'll be getting rid of the 'Middle Initial' field which is a hidden field in the app (it's never been directly editable) and is only ever used as part of the 'Full Name' field in things like an email merge tag. Please note that any campaigns that you've already sent that rely on the 'Full Name' merge tag will continue to work after we've made the updates on Friday.
Again, you don't need to do anything unless you want to keep a record of your contact's middle initial field in which case you should export your contact data prior to Friday and simply keep that filed away somewhere to refer to should you ever need to.
